Lessons at your pool, my pool or the beach
I come to you. If you have a backyard pool or a condo pool in Kelowna or West Kelowna, that is the easiest option for most families with a baby. You can also book sessions at my pool on Sunset Drive downtown, and on warm summer days we can meet at a calm beach so your baby gets comfortable in Okanagan Lake. In the colder months I run warm indoor sessions at pools in Kelowna, so you can start any time of year.
Pricing
A 30 minute lesson is $45, a 45 minute lesson is $75 and a full hour is $90. For infants I usually recommend 30 minutes, since short and sweet works best for little ones. If you want steady progress, my one week intensive gives your baby a gentle session every single day for five days, starting at $225 for the week.
First skills for tiny swimmers
Every baby is different, so we follow your little one's lead. We start with water comfort, gentle splashing, supported floating and getting the face wet through play and songs. You are in the water with us the whole time, learning safe holds and how to support your baby with confidence. As comfort grows we build early kicking, reaching and back floats, the building blocks that make real swimming come naturally later on.
Why parents choose CNE Swim
I am an NCCP certified swim coach, a certified lifeguard and a certified swim instructor, and my own competitive swimming career took me all the way to the World Championships. More importantly, I love working with babies and new parents, and it shows. Families across Kelowna have given CNE Swim a perfect five star rating on Google, and parents tell me their little ones light up in the water.
Common questions from Kelowna parents
What age can we start? I teach babies from about six months old, always with a parent in the water. Do I need to get in the pool? Yes, for infant lessons you are in the water with us and I coach you both. What should we bring? A swim diaper, a towel and a warm layer for after the lesson. Can babies swim in winter? Yes, I run warm indoor pool sessions in Kelowna all year. What happens if a lesson ends early? The full lesson rate applies to the time you book, since that time is reserved just for you and your baby. Ready to start? Send me a message and tell me about your little one. Spots fill up quickly.
